Hello All!

Took a vacation day today, and duuuuuude was it worth it!!! With a few of my fellow Monsters University cycling homeys, I got to ride Paradise Loop with the Cannondale Pro Team today. What the hell? This is awesome.

Sports Basement organized this friggin ridiculous event where a few dozen of us all took the morning off and road with these pros just after they competed in the tour of California. Watching them move on their bikes, chatting with them for 30 or so miles of glorious Marin bikeways … This was crazy cool.

Straight up, the way that a pro could absolutely shred a bicycle. The power. The flexibility. There’s something special about a pro athlete, regardless of their sport, they just have this grace and strength that really shines.

And you could not have picked a nicer Spring morning in the bay.

We all met up at Sports Basement in the Marina, to gawwwhhh at the bikes on display.

These machines were inspiring.

Like the pro athlete, the detail on one of these bikes was just mind boggling.

Palmtree road in with his 1987 Cannondale. Dudes down there were seriously stoking on it.

… And my posse.

I have been putting in some solid miles with these guys lately. And it was a total joy to roll in such a large pack with these familiar faces.

Dudes!

The group was a mega collection of very strong riders.

But those guys in the neon green, the pros right there, watching them just futz around was something special. Damn!

And to ride in our back yard on one of my favorite routes.

Worth a vacation day indeed.
