Halloween 2010

Hello All,

Yup, it’s that time of year. The days grow shorter, leaves fall faster, and people be costumin’ it up and partying.

And as you could guess by the above pic, Di came up to enjoy this most excellent SF Fall weekend.

Let’s start with Friday. So I peaced out early from work and met up for an evening at the symphony.

Your blogger was quite fortunate to have such a smashing date.

Even friggin City Hall was glowing.

Are you kidding me!?

I particularly enjoyed the first half of the show where this dope ass pianist busted out some mad Chopin.

Saturday morning greeted the city with a really pleasant light rain.

Hello.

… And we were greeted with a most pleasant Rocci and Sebastian.

… What are you referring to here again, Roch?

Siegel knocked out one of his insane vegetarian uber-California cuisine brunch masterpieces. Seriously, no joke, the man is an artist.

From Halloween 2010

Poppa Danch even rolled by to say what up to the posse.

Yo Big D.

Spent the afternoon strolling around Alamo Sqaure. So nice … So, so nice.

And to top it all off, these dudes totally brought out a huge thing of popcorn.

Yes!

As evening rolled around we got into party mode … Di as a most lovely Fantastic Mrs. Fox … And me dressed as an explorer (not the most creative costume of all time, but highly functional nevertheless!)

From Halloween 2010

Siegel was rocking the most Siegel-esque costume ever. It was patently ridiculous.

He was a google map with a blue dot on the location of the party.

Is it possible to be more clever … Don’t worry, you don’t have to respond … Because the answer is no. It is not physically possible to be more clever than this.

Sebastian even rolled with the posse.

Very dignified.

So the shin dig was at this 23 room convent that had been turned into this cool communal living spot. Simone (dressed as Marilyn Monroe) lives at the spot and she was one of the main organizers. Great job Dude.

The most rad Carly cruised as well!

Simone. Wiz. Beautiful.

So even though the place was all decked with these mini studio apartments, there was still all this super cool old church space.

I call this one the passion of the pontz.

(just have to include a snapshot of this one.)

I don’t know the people in these pics, but their costumes were solid.

At the top there was this hella sick roof deck where dudes were spinning and stuff.

We chilled there for a while, the city still glowing.

(okay, quick aside: Dear Giants, now I’m not the biggest baseball fan, but I’d just like to say congrats to you all on crushing it thus far in the series. Keep at it!)

Siegel, as always a source for direction.

I like this photo.

So we are just walking around and there’s a sick ass pair of gold LA gear sneakers on the street.

The costume comes in so clutch at moments like this.

On Sunday we rolled out to Walnut Creek to see the big bro and fam.

(and yes, the below was actually taken in the WC. we’re at the burger place called the counter.)

!

Chowing and shmoozed it up with the fam.

Your blogger’s main impetus for the trip out east — the wonderfully wonderful baby niece Simone.

🙂 🙂

We swung back over the hills in the evening, stopping in to say a huge ‘Yo!’ to baby Amelia.

I know, I know, it’s ridiculous.

And, rounding out the awesomeness of the weekend, My Mom sent me a pic from her costume party at work.

With her two homeys, she dressed up as Run-D.M.C.

Yes, I know what you are thinking, and I do recognize that I have the coolest Mother on earth.

One last thing: today is My Dad’s birthday. Pops, I just want to let you know that I think the world of you, and that you inspire me like no other.

Much Love All.
