From point reyes in the fall

Hello All!

Sorry about the paucity of posts lately, your tireless blogger has lately been a tireless worker, but alas, there is no real good excuse as to not writing, so I might as well just get on with it here …

The fellow blogger and I spent the day hiking around Point Reyes and enjoying oysters in Tomales Bay.

A perfect combination of outdoors and sophisticated living, I couldn’t be more stoked.

Blessed with an exquisite Fall’s day, we began our trek up from the Bear Valley Ranger Station around 1:30.

It was so nuts, I almost couldn’t handle it.

Perfect weather, and the perfect hiking partner.

After a pretty steep two miles up the Mount Wittenberg Trail, we got to this disgustingly pleasant meadow with a view of Drakes Bay.

Seriously, what the fuck.

Bread, cheese, tomato, cabernet …

We represented.

Damn, my hair is long and shaggy and I seriously need a shave and a haircut.

On our way down we came across some legit nature.

No idea if this is edible, but it sure as hell is massive.

No known predators. Bring it.

As we walked back into the valley, dusk began to slowly settle, and a feeling of autumn overwhelmed the senses.

So wonderful.

We followed up with oysters and a view.

So that about covers it.

One last thing … Tomorrow is my Dad’s birthday, and just wanted to say: Dad, if you are reading this, I love you so much and it is such an honor being your son.
