Hello All!
This past Saturday I went on a totally epic bike ride with Aki and Kernel.
At home drunk on Friday night, we came up with an idea to do a lap of the city.
What resulted was 36 miles of pure awesome.

The day started at Alamo Square.

We then turn down onto Valencia.

Probably.

At Ceasar Chavez and 30th we banged a left.
This was our pivot point for the journey – the goal was to get back here in one piece.

Rolling under the freeway, we ventured out to the more industrial side of SF.

Arriving to the end of the road.
Literally.

At this point, when we were just circling around on these wide abandoned streets, the stoke was visible.
There was a feeling of random adventure, the kind we used to do as kids, that had overtaken the group.
I wanna feel like this more often.

With the sun intermittently peaking behind these bid ol’ white fluffy clouds, the eastern-side of the city came out in all its glory.

As we crawled around the edge of the city, your riders ventured upon ATT Park.
What a site.

And the yachts.

A little thumbs-up action for the Bay Bridge.

Fiserman’s Wharf is kinda meh in my opinion – way touristy.
But, ya know what, a lot of ppl come here and love it, so you know what, i aint gonna hate – the spot is alright.

And then, in all her majesty, the Golden Gate comes into view.
I just can’t get enough of ‘er.

A quick stop to ponder the meaning of it all.

And then into the old stomping grounds – the Richmond Baby!

Dudes, this is where I get a little emotional on you.
Every time I roll by the old pad, I just get so sentimental.
Seriously, 3 and a half years of unbelievable memories …
Cabrillo Street, you are still in our hearts.

And of course, we stop at SP for a brew.

As well as a chill sesh in the park.

Turning down onto Ocean Beach was raw as fuck though.
No joke, the winds got plain nasty out there.

And your adventurers were freezing something gnar!

But then, being the micro-cliamte capitol of the world it is, we turn left and get to a majestically warm Lake Merced.

There was a really nice 76 station on the side of the road.
We split a coffee and some snacks.
I rather enjoyed it.

We then ripped it down Alemany on one of the more fun stretches of road i’ve ever seen.
Also, the street art was dope.

… Back under the freeway, heading home.
… Pretty haggard.

After nearly 6 hours we’d completed our loop, discovered new spots, and basked in the old ones. What a friggin wonderful way to spend the day. To all my fellow bike adventurers trekking around SF and the cities beyond, stay safe, have a wonderful ride, and be excellent!
