DC Trip (Day 0) A Good Omen

February 4th, 2010

In a few hours I will push off for DC, and I am very stoked about this. The main reason for the trip is to attend a work meeting next Wednesday, but, very graciously, I got to take a few days of vacation, and am flying back east early to kick it with my homeys.

I’ll be staying with my buddy Dave when I am out there, and will also get to meet up with a posse of old Peace Corps friends, including: Mike, Marisa, Kiley, Travis, Caroline, and, let us not forget, Dunn.

Both Dave and Mike are up to speed with the status of my journey (I am meeting them for beers tomorrow evening and want to keep them in the loop re my travel plans as much as possible):

Now here comes the cool part. I had wanted to scan my lecture notes (we just had class) and when I opened the scanner, I found my old driver’s license. I’d already gotten it replaced a few months ago (thinking that I had lost it) and lo and behold, it was left in the scanner. (I needed to scan it for accessing the SSH of my web host.) Now I have two IDs. Rad. (Oh yea, class homeys – I did not finish scanning my notes, I will knock that out later in the week and post them.) Peace.
