It’s my buddy Glen’s birthday tomorrow. Happy Birthday G.

Over the past three years, Glen has been a mentor, hacking buddy, fellow student, and an all-around bad ass in my life. With an obscene amount of patience, he took me under his wing and taught me how to program computers. From make files, to rails, to jQuery, to regex’s, to basic friggin HTML, no one has had a greater influence in shaping the way my mind approaches the digital. And on top of all that, he’s been a great friend.

… We celebrated his bday just now, and it couldn’t have been any more perfect.

So ya … What more is there to tell. It’s impossible to fully state what this dude means to me. I suppose that when you meet a person in life who is equal parts friend and mentor — well, I suppose you call him your guru. There probably isn’t a more fitting word for the G than that one.

The crazy part, he has the energy to be the guru for a few other dudes as well. How legit is that!
